A Wedding?!
Yes, a wedding!
We are Grace and Robin, known online as Wolvinny and Jake.
We met in 2012 through a furry bowling event and became a couple that same year. We moved into a house together in 2017. We thought it was time to make things truly official, so we are putting a ring on it!
And you're invited to our big afterparty!

All the important parts of the wedding day will be held at the same location in Nijkerk. There is a hotel next door for those who are interested in rolling into a bed close by after the party.

Gifts?
We've already had several people asking us if there is anything we'd like to have as a wedding gift. The answer's pretty simple: yes, money!
Our house is plenty full of stuff already. We do not need another set of pepper and salt shakers. We'd love to enjoy experiences with friends and family instead. And the only realistic way to gift us those, is through money. Help us to go on a honeymoon!
We will try to set up a digital link for donations, and we will provide an on site donation box for physical money.
Dress code
We spent a lot of time with most of you in casual situations, birthday parties, at conventions, and so on. And most of those times, everybody is wearing casual clothing. We would love to see everybody all dressed up for a change!
We don't want to force everyone to invest in the fanciest of clothing, three piece suits, gala dresses, and so on. Please don't feel like you have to wear clothing you don't feel comfortable in. However, we would appreciate it if you showed some real effort and join us in an outfit you feel proud of!
Oh, and in case you're wondering; yes, you are allowed to bring your fursuit to the party, in fact we would love it!
For those wondering what a fursuit is, check the "What's a Furry?" section. We will provide a fursuit lounge where fursuiters can store their luggage, change and get some rest.
Dinner
During the reception and wedding party we will offer plenty of snacks! But dinner is not served by the newly wedded couple. You are free to gather your family and friends and find a restaurant for yourselves to enjoy! You're also free to book a table at Moeke's Restaurant, if you do please mention in your request that you are part of our wedding party.

Travel
By car
The location has plenty of free car parking spaces, both for the hotel and the event space. Simply putting the above address into your favourite route planning tool should give you a direct route to the location, and you should not need to look far for the closest parking spot.
Public Transport
The town of Nijkerk also has a trainstation. From there it is roughly a 15-20 minute walk to the venue. You can try to see if a friend or visitor can pick you up by car, feel free to use the groupchat.
You can download the NS app or use Google Maps for directions.
From the Schiphol Airport trainstation, you can take the intercity train to Amersfoort (Centraal or Schothorst) or Utrecht Centraal. From there, you transfer to a smaller local train (Sprinter) to Nijkerk Station. Average travel time of 70-90 minutes.
Nowadays you can check-in for public transport with your own bankcard, you don't need a Dutch public transport card ("OV Chipkaart"). There are also the conventional ticket machines.
Warning: many Dutch train stations have not just one, but multiple companies providing train (and sometimes metro) services. Make sure you use the yellow gates / poles marked with "NS" for checking in and out!

What's a Furry?
Grace and Robin met through the hobby of furries. Together they have been volunteers for many furry events including Europe's biggest Furry convention called Eurofurence for 10+ years.
A furry is a person who, as a hobby, is interested in anthropomorphic animals. This can be in all kinds of forms like storytelling, drawings and other visual art, music, video, and dressing up in animal costumes called "fursuits". A lot of times a furry has an animal character representation of themselves with a nickname. What is your favorite animal? And what are your favorite colors? There, you have a fursona! It does not mean that we believe to be animals, which is a common misconception.
Dictionary:
- Furry: an enthusiast for animal characters with human characteristics.
- Fursuit: a costume of an animal character.
- Fursona: personal representation of a person into an anthropomorphic animal character.
- Fursuit Lounge: a designated area for fursuiters to be able to (un)dress and take a rest from the often heavy costume.
Grace's fursona is Wolvinny, a colorful wolf. She has two fursuits: Jail the wolf and Coco the Corgi.
Robin's fursona is Jake, a tiger-lion mix. He has one fursuit: Key the cat.
Grace (Wolvinny) and Robin (Jake) share their hobby through artwork, fursuits, pictures and videos of them, and by going to furry conventions and parties.
